Alton House Hotel is located in the historic market town of Alton, once frequented by the writer Jane Austen.

Jane Austen Suite

Ceremony Room – Alton House Hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies.  The Jane Austen Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests. The suite also has it’s own private entrance on the side of the hotel and lovely views of the well established garden area.

Garden Ceremony

Outdoor Gazebo – The Gazebo is licensed for outdoor ceremonies and can be used throughout the year (subject to the weather).  It can also be used for autumn drinks receptions or when it snows it makes a beautiful setting for winter photographs.

Wedding Breakfasts and Receptions

Our spacious room allows for various layouts to keep your guests comfortable and together.  The sliding doors leading onto our garden provides a lot of natural lights during the day.

The room is airconditioned for hot summer days and heated for the cooler days.

We have a number of wedding packages available to include either one or both your wedding breakfast and evening reception.  Our team can also arrange extra items such as chocolate fountains, photo booths, post boxes and more.

Catering

Having the perfect wedding breakfast meal and evening reception is one of the most important aspects of your special day.  We work closely with Lemon Stone Events to offer a variety of exciting menu packages.

Drinks

The Jane Austen Suite has an adjacent function bar which is open for private functions only.  The bar is fully stocked with all your usual favourites as well as a selection of local and interesting additions.

Accommodation

Staying overnight at Alton House Hotel allows guests to enjoy the evening to the fullest, get a good night’s rest and share experiences of the happy occasion over breakfast.  There are large rooms available for families and extra beds and cots are available for children.

There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel.

Parking

There is ample free guest parking at the hotel which is managed by an outside car parking management company.  (Please remember to register your vehicle on arrival to avoid them sending you a parking charge notice.)
