Achieve! is an innovative, flexible and inspiring development programme which takes staff through three levels:

• Bronze
• Silver and
• Gold

Flexible for people who want to learn a bit more but don't want formal learning, runs alongside an apprenticeship programme and develops potential managers.

Whether staff undertake Achieve! or not we still encourage ongoing learning and development in areas such as:

• Menu knowledge
• Up-selling
• Improving operational standards
• Food safety and
• Customer service

Whilst working with Hollybourne Hotels we offer all our staff the opportunity to develop their on job training by undertaking a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.  This may be Hospitality based; Food and Beverage, Reception, Housekeeping, Cookery or also covers Customer Service, Hospitality Supervision, Team Leading and Business Administration.

Our Management Development programme includes topics such as:

• Being proactive
• Carrying out appraisals
• Interviewing skills
• Rooms management and
• Training skills

We encourage people to undertake a Level 3 qualification, if appropriate, in either, Customer Service, Business Administration, Hospitality Supervision or ILM Management.

All our hotels welcome local schools and colleges to discuss potential work experience opportunities.

We have a strong track record of pupils progressing to undertake more formal employment with us on a part time and full time basis.
