Apprenticeship programmes with Hollybourne Hotels
We offer a range of Hospitality Apprenticeship Level 2 programmes including Reception, General Assistant, Chef, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and, at The Georgian House and Manor House hotels only, Leisure Assistant.
Below you will see the structure of an apprenticeship programme.
We would always aim to achieve a long working relationship and providing individuals were successful we would plan to develop an intermediate level apprentice further to give a long term career in Hollybourne Hotels.
We have a long term working relationship with HTP, the leading Hospitality work based qualification provider.
HTP fund Diploma programmes and externally assess progress of learners against the national criteria. Apprenticeships are based around the Level 2 Diploma Qualifications in Hospitality Services, Front of House Reception, Housekeeping, Professional Cookery, Food and Beverage and Gym Instructor.
In addition to the Hospitality Diploma, if GCSE English and Maths grades are less than C, these subjects as Functional Skills will be included in the apprenticeship qualification along with units specifically tested as Technical certificates.
Hollybourne Support training:
Our company induction and customer service programme supports much of the information required for apprenticeships. Learners would attend these programmes within two months of starting.
Job training programme
The job training programme identifies all the operational tasks that are needed to achieve the job role undertaken including appropriate health and safety, hygiene and other legal training requirements. If you are unsure which area to work in, the role of General Assistant covers most departments.
Achieve is our internal development programme, of which the bronze level is incorporated into the start of your apprenticeship programme. At this level you will be involved in learning set core skills, receiving feedback on customer service skills and developing teamwork skills. You will be set some targets after an initial eight weeks of working and these need to be fully completed.
Additional learning resources are provided for units along with the potential to develop an all round understanding of the job roles.
Formal review meetings with Mentor / General Manager
Learners are allocated a Mentor to support their progress and advise. After four weeks and six months - learners are reviewed with their Mentor / General Manager and after three months and the year completions an additional review with the Training Director. There is the opportunity at each review after four weeks to have the apprentice pay increased to the appropriate minimum wage for your age group.
After the first year ....
On successful completion of the Intermediate Apprenticeship we can discuss longer term development either internally or with the support of a further qualification.
